Welcome to our step-by-step guide on how to seamlessly integrate and utilize the Portfolio Widget on your Churchly platform. This tutorial aims to assist you in setting up and customizing your portfolio, a crucial feature for showcasing various projects or ministries within your church community.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Adding the Portfolio Widget

Start by navigating to the section of your page where you wish to add the portfolio.
Locate the "Portfolio" widget within the widget menu.
Simply drag and drop the "Portfolio" widget into the desired block on your page.

Step 2: Adding Portfolio Items

Once the widget is placed, the next step is to add items to your portfolio. Initially, you can insert some placeholder or "dummy" items to understand the setup.
Click on the widget to add items. Here, you have two options:

Select from pre-existing portfolio items if available.
Create a new portfolio item by clicking the option to do so.

Step 3: Customizing the Layout

After adding items to your portfolio, you’ll want to customize how they are displayed.
Click on the layout settings within the portfolio widget.
If the default layout is carousel and you prefer a different style, switch to the "Grid" layout.
Adjust the grid settings to display two items per row. This setting can vary based on the number of items you have and your visual preference.
Add a percentage of spacing between items for a cleaner look.
Ensure to include details like the title, categories, and descriptions for each item to provide clear, comprehensive information to viewers.

Step 4: Saving and Previewing Your Work

After customizing the layout and ensuring all content is correctly added, save your work.
Proceed to preview your page to see how the portfolio items are displayed on your site. This step is crucial for ensuring everything looks as intended before publishing.
