Enhance your Churchly website by integrating social media widgets. This guide will walk you through the process of adding these widgets to your site, allowing visitors to follow your social media pages or share your content with ease.

Step-by-Step Guide

Adding Social Media Widgets to Your Site

Step 1: Navigate to the Footer Section:

• Begin by scrolling to the footer section of your site, where you may want to add your social media widgets.

Step 2: Access Widgets:

• Click on 'Widgets' to view the available options.

Step 3: Add Social Media Widget:

• Locate and select the 'Social Media' widget. Drag and drop it into the desired location indicated by a blue line.

Step 4: Customize Widget Settings:   

• Alignment: Initially, the social media icons are centered and have a default charcoal color. You have the option to left-align these icons to match your layout.
• Action: Choose the widget's function – either to redirect users to your social media page (recommended to increase followers) or to enable the sharing of your page. 

Step 5: Edit Social Networks:

• Add Networks: By default, Twitter is added. Click the '+' sign to add more social networks, like Instagram or Facebook.
• Configure URLs: For each social network icon added (e.g., Instagram, Twitter, Facebook), ensure you input the full URL to your church’s social media page.

Step 6: Customize Appearance:

• Button Size & Shape: Adjust the size of the buttons and the radius if you prefer circular icons over the default square ones.
• Color Scheme: Choose colors that match your branding for the icon background, icon itself (hover color), and the default state.

Styling Tips for Social Media Widgets

1. Brand Consistency: Select colors and shapes that align with your site’s design and your church's brand identity. 
2. Alignment and Positioning: Align your social media widgets in accordance with the overall layout of your site’s footer or other sections for a cohesive appearance.

Previewing and Saving Changes

After customization, always preview your changes to ensure the social media widgets look and function as expected. If satisfied, click 'Save' to apply the changes to your live site.

Adding Share Functionality (Optional)

If you desire to add a "Share" feature for site content:

• Select Networks for Sharing: Choose which networks you'd like to include for the share functionality.
• Customize and Add Text: Customize the appearance of share buttons similar to the follow buttons. Optionally, add text to encourage sharing, e.g., "Click below to share with your friends."
