Learn about advanced features in Churchly’s builder, including website settings, domain connection, personalization, custom code, SEO, and more.
Step-by-step guide
In the left sidebar, click the gear icon to access the Website Settings.
General: You can add a Favicon and a social sharing image.
Domains: Here is where you can connect your church’s domain name that you purchased from a Domain Provider. See “Connecting Your Domain Name” help video for additional instructions.
Language & Time: Here is where you can change the language, time zone, and date format.
Cookies & GDPR: Not necessary unless you are doing business & transactions in the UK. If this applies to you, toggle the button to “On”.
Applications: This is where you can connect external applications, like MailChimp and Facebook.
Personalization: Your church name, address, email, phone number, mission statement, can be edited here and will dynamically update everywhere there is a short code with the personalization tag on your website. You can also create new personalization tags here.
Custom Code: You can add tracking code and put it in the Custom Head Markup. If you are familiar with CSS, you can paste Custom CSS in here to style things in a different way. You can also put code in the Body, as well as specific pages.
Page SEO: It’s important to give the page a good title and description. When the bar turns green, you have a good amount of text for Google and other search engines. You can also add a share image.
File Manager: Here is where you can upload documents and photos. You can organize your files through folders.
