Subscribe Widget

In this video we'll take a look at how to add the subscribe widget to your page, how to style it, and how to integrate a mail service such as MailChimp. This is good for allowing people to subscribe to your blog or other newsletter.

Step-by-Step Guide

You need to connect a mail service prior to adding a Subscribe widget. 

Go to settings, then select Applications. Connect the application that you use for mail service (e.g. MailChimp) by pasting the API key from your account. 

Step 1: Adding a New Block

• Navigate to the section of your Churchly website where you'd like to add a subscribe widget. 
• Select "Add a new block" and choose an empty block. 
• For a balanced design, opt for a block with three columns and adjust the column width to your liking, making the center column larger for emphasis.

Step 2: Inserting the Subscribe Widget

• Scroll through the widget options and locate "Subscribe".
• Drag and drop the Subscribe widget into the center column of your new block.

Step 3: Form Fields

• The fewer fields you ask for, the better response you will get. Typically, just requesting “Email” is fine. 

Step 4: Styling

• Hover over the subscribe widget, click on “Edit”
• You can edit the Labels and Fields, as well as the Button by clicking “Style”
• Adjust the subscribe widget to match your website’s design style, like the color, text style, border, and alignment.

Step 5: Settings

• Hover over the subscribe widget, click on the settings icon
• You can rename the Subscription Name
• Input the email where subscription notifications go to 
• You can change the button text
• You can choose to show a message or go to a page once someone fills out the field
