Editing your site and adding pages

In this video, we'll be covering how to edit your site menu, and how to add new pages to your site and menu!



Introduction

A tutorial on customizing church website menus and pages, including editing menu items, adding new pages, and adjusting content blocks.


Step-by-step guide

Step 1: Menu

-The menu is at the top of your screen. Hover over the menu to edit the menu & styling  or delete it.

-Click “Edit Menu”, from here you can drag the page names around to rearrange their order on the menu

-If you drag page names below (and slightly to the right of) another page name,  it will create a submenu 

-Click “Add Menu Item”

-To add a page, select your page group from the drop down menu

-Select the pages you want to link the menu item to

-Select the “Open In” option you prefer (same tab or new tab)

-Hit “Select”, this will change the link in the menu system

-You can link to an external link, a file, a popup you’ve created, an email address, or a phone number


Step 2: Pages

-Click on the three lines icon on the left side bar

-All of your pages are listed under the “Pages” folder

-You can add new folders to categorize pages by clicking “Add New”, then “Page Group”

-To add a page, click “Add New”, then select the Page icon

-You can choose a page from the predesigned selections based on category

-Or, you can clone an existing page from your website

-Or, you can start from a blank page

-Hit “Select” to begin designing your page

-Enter your page name

-Click “SEO Info” and type in the page title and description

-The orange bar will turn green once you have reached the appropriate amount of characters to be “friendly” with Google. If it turns red, you have gone over the character amount. 

-Click “Add” once finished

-You can drag blocks, delete blocks, edit text and images, adjust colors, hide the header/footer, etc. 

-At the top of the site builder, click “Save Changes” to save the edits you have made

-If you don’t like the changes you have made, you can click “Discard” to revert to your starting point

-Click on the eye icon on the left side bar, this is what visitors will see when they visit your website
